Music Video For “We Got Time” By Moray McLaren – Artwork And Direction By David Wilson

Lots of music videos around here these days ;)

This one — for Scottish singer-songwriter Moray McLaren — was completely made up in front of a camera, which makes it even more amazing and incredible. So no stop motion animation or use of a computer here (except for the edit I guess ;).

The whole “animation” thing is based on an adapted version of a Praxinoscope — successor to the Zoetrope (Wikipedia link after the jump).

Also the “Making of …” is very well done and gives all the insights you’d dream of — enjoy!

Wax Stag — And How Music Video By Clem Stamation

Clem Stamation is an Australian motion designer and self-proclaimed pigeon chaser. He has been commissioned via the “Radar Music Videos — Music Video Directors’ Network and Commissioning Platform” to create a video for the UK based solo project Wax Stag by Rob Lee, who is also the live bass player and percussionist for the Friendly Fires and also plays drums for Warp legend Chris Clark.

“Our Wonderful World” by Tomer Eshed

“Our Wonderful World” by Tomer Eshed is another award winning animated and fun short (funnimation?) by a student (Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Konrad Wolf).

Animated Short “This one time…” By Nelson Boles

“This one time…” is a beautifully animated short with great characters by Nelson Boles.

He has been a student of The Animation Academy (Burbank California) and has had kind of a dramatic past, that seemed to finally and luckily has brought him to study animation.

Nelson had to leave flooded New Orleans with his family after the devastating hit of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and landed in LA to stay with relatives, where he spent two semesters at The Animation Academy (Burbank California).

After some time he was able to go back to his home town and there he continued with his life.

Luckily he also kept up the animation work!

Last year he was the winner of the annual Warner Bros Hanna Barbera Scholarship — he received $10,000 to go to California Institute of the Arts and a paid internship to Warner Bros Animation Studios — so hopefully this will bring a great future for this promising talent…

…and more animated shorts for the rest of us! ;)
