Multi-touch Controlled Fluid Animation
Inspired by Processing wizard flight404 and Plasma Pong, an arcade game created by Steve Taylor, artist, musician and interaction designer Memo Akten (alias memo.tv, alias Mehmet S. Akten) has put together a Processing library to solve real-time fluid dynamics simulations based on Navier-Stokes equations and Jos Stam’s approximations.
Sounds too geeky for your taste? Well, if not, then have a look at his page (links below) for further geekery ;)
But in any case have a look at the video! Nobody can resist fluid simulations, especially when controlled by an iPhone or by an iTouch pod…
There is also a HD version available for download on the Vimeo page.
Prior to the multi-touch version Memo Akten did some tests with psychedelic fluids and particles with Processing…

I love it. I want to play with it. But I think I need to learn Java now…. :/
